Brent Little went to high school, he succeeded there.

He went to college, he succeeded there.

He worked his dream job as an engineer, and he succeeded there.

Now Little is back and ready to take those life experiences to show his students what he learned.

Little was born on Jun. 6, 1963 in Los Angeles, Cal. He grew up participating in numerous sports in high school including soccer, tennis, and gymnastics. When he was young Little wanted to be an engineer and after attending the University of California Santa Barbara he realized his dream and became an engineer for 20 years. He spent the last fourteen with Applied Micro, a company that helps make networking more efficient.

“The biggest difference between high school now compared to when I went to school is that kids want to finish quicker,” Little said.

Little has only taught at CHS for one whole year and the current one, he already has a story to tell as his most memorable teaching moment.

“There was a struggling and disruptive student in my class who for one reason or another became engaging and one of my favorite students,” Little said.

Little has experienced both the pros and cons of teaching.

“The best part of teaching is interacting with students and learning about their lives,” Little said. “The worst part would have to be having students who do not want to learn.”
