Wetzel County Schools has been tracking attendance at each school on a daily basis.  While some schools have maintained good attendance, some of the schools are showing an unusual incease in absences.

Swine Flu (H1N1) vaccinations will be given at the Wetzel-Tyler Health Department for children pre-school through 12th grade.  Both nasal and injectable vaccinations will be given.  To schedule an appointment call (304) 337-2001.

November 21st                    9 AM - 12 PM
November 24th                    3 PM - 6 PM

We don't want students to feel that they must drag themselves to school when they are ill.  Because of so many absences this semester, all high school students are exempt from taking elective exams for the first semester.  A decision concerning second semester will be made later.

Parens are encouraged to use the sixteen approved absences wisely.  If a child has more than sixteen absences, a doctor's excuse will be required and the other components of the attendance policy will be in effect.
