Do you ever wonder why some girls prefer to hang out with guys rather than with girls? I asked a couple of different girls if they would rather hang out with a bunch of their girlfriends or some of the guys. I also asked a guy for his opinion on girls who hang out with all guys.

First, I asked an anonymous person at Case High if she hangs out with mostly guys or girls. She said, " I hang out with the guys because I feel they cause less drama, and it’s fun to just kick it without hearing about their boyfriends or how these girls did her bogus." The anonymous source says girls make fun of her and call her nasty names because she’s always walking the halls with guys and is rarely seen with girls. She feels these names come from jealousy.

Another person I asked was Lily Delgadillo, a junior here at Case. She said, "I prefer to talk to guys because girls start a lot of drama, and it’s nice to be drama free, but there are a lot of girls that call me out by my name. I just ignore them. Another reason I prefer guy friends is because you can joke with them and they won’t get mad. Some of the girls do get mad when the guys or I joke with them."

I also interviewed Angel Garcia, a senior at Horlick High School. I asked Angel if she prefers to hang out with guys or girls, and she said that she likes hanging out with girls rather than guys because girls understand her better than any guy would. She says, "Guys are usually after one thing and with girls I really don’t have to worry about that. When I am with my friends that are girls, we just kick-it and go shopping or go to movie, and that’s what I like."

Lastly, I interviewed Devin Wilson, a senior here at Case. I asked Devin if he likes hanging out with girls who love being by the guys or if they get annoying to him. He says, "It depends on the girl. If the girl is cool, than it’s straight, but if she is annoying and always talking about girl problems, I wouldn’t want to be around her."

I personally prefer hanging out with guys rather than girls because I have had very bad experiences with girls. I have had girls who I went to for everything end up backstabbing me. I have only a couple close girlfriends because I honestly don’t trust girls. I think by having guy friends, I can trust them more and won’t have to worry about them trying something on my boyfriend or getting backstabbed. Whoever you decide to hang out with, it’s your option. Just remember if girls get to dramatic, there are always guys to hang out with.
