Zombieland
Rating: R
Zombie infestation seems to be an open topic in everyday life now-a-days. With movies like 28 Days Later and Dawn Of The Dead you would think that zombie movies can only get worse and worse. Well, you are wrong. Zombieland was a thrilling zombie killer movie with a twist of some dark comedy thrown in there for kicks and giggles.
The story line follows a young man known to the crowd as “Columbus” referring to his destination. He is going to Columbus, Ohio, hence his name, and has to deal with mindless blood thirsty zombies along the way. As he travels through the states he deals with several of these mindless mutants and through his trials and travels he creates his own set of rules to survive the zombie apocalypse.
He soon loses his vehicle and finds himself walking along a highway and is picked by another actual human referred to only as “Tallahassee”. This cocky redneck is on the hunt not for zombies, but the last known box of Twinkies.
They travel together and grow closer and interact with all kinds of people, dead and alive. Thus, making this movie thoroughly enjoyable and completely hilarious. Although not very suitable for younger children due to swearing and some serious gore it is a very good zombie movie. If you’re looking for a break from all the serious scary movies go check out Zombieland and enjoy all the blood drenched carnage.
