In an intensifying and suspenseful game on October 2, the girl’s varsity volleyball team played against Narbonne and won 3-2.

Playing against Narbonne, the games are always anticipated, and in this game, Carson took the win. Both schools showed their support and cheered on their girls.

The Lady Colts showed up to their game with confidence and no worries with their momentum rising.

As the game went on, the ball went from Carson’s to Narbonne’s side, each team scored a point every now and then, it was hard to predict who would take the win. Everyone inside the gym could feel the intensity of the game.

As Narbonne caught up with them in the fourth game, 18-18, they continued to work harder and harder under the pressure.

“It’s really hard [for me] to work under pressure. Knowing I have my team beside me, I push through to make most of my serves in. Overall, I think we did a great job,” senior Crystal Lopez said.

It is no doubt that Carson went wild whenever the girls scored a point. Cheers, clapping, and lots of support filled the gym.

The girls made sure that they communicated with each other and kept their energy levels up, and continued to work hard whether they were under pressure or not.

The Lady Colts showed that they could win because they worked well together and made sure they helped each other out during the game. From players rotating, each contributing a serve, to back-to-back spikes, digs, and good blocks, the Lady Colts were on a roll and nothing could stop them.

They constantly kept the ball in the air, keeping the audience moving their heads back and forth to each side, hoping that they would score a point every time.

In the end, they won the game and couldn’t be happier.

“We give our all, go hard or go home,” senior Kristiana Tuaniga said.

When they help score the point for their team, it is simply one of the best feelings that they could have. No words could express how Tuaniga and Luafalemana felt after winning the Narbonne game.

Coach Kline, the new coach for the girls varsity volleyball team, couldn’t be anymore proud of the girls either.

“We’re playing well, but there’s always room for improvement. Overall, I’m impressed,” Coach Kline said.

Not only did the girls volleyball team make Carsonproud, but also made their families, and friends proud.
