Dear Students,
Have you ever woken up not interested in what was going to happen? Have you ever just wanted to sleep in because going to SRC for AP English was better than going to AP English. Well if you have than you've developed a common disease known as: Senioritis. Also known as V1(enter graduation year here).
It's seen usually in graduating seniors, but on rare occasions--or supposedly--rare occassions we find that juniors have been infected early.
It's an awful disease that creeps up on you when you least expect it. Some symptoms include: constant boredom with everday life, absence from class due to laziness, lack of interest in everyday homework, and sometimes constant complaining about how slow the year is going.
I was infected at the beginning of the year. I knew I had it when the butterflies in my stomach, which I always get the first day of school, weren't there. I was lost for words, I was confused. I felt I had lost control!
Senioritis can't be cured, but there is a vaccine out there to lower your chances of getting it, it's called getting involved. If you have senioritis, or feel you've developed some symptoms of senioritis, talk to a teacher now. If your uncomfortable talking to a teacher. Friends, family, and even your local ecclesiastical leader can help you find a cure. Just make sure you stay busy and the time will fly.
Senioritis is not lethal, and will pass-- just give it some time. Some are prone to get it fast and quick, others get it for a long time, some get it once and get it again, and some never develop it.
All I know for sure is that if you get vaccinated right away, your chances of infection are slim. Thank you for reading.
